ABOUT THE OBJECT
Le Locle is a town and a municipality in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, located in the "Montagnes" region. Inscribed since 2009 on the World Heritage List for its "Horloge Urbanism," the Mother Municipality of the Montagnes is the 2nd industrial city of the canton of Neuchâtel. Le Locle includes all the amenities nearby such as shops, schools, transport, train station, library, toy library, cinema, museums, theater, swimming pool, ice rink and many more.
Completely renovated between 2018 and 2019, this centuries-old house offers many options to its future owner.
The entrance, on the ground floor, opens onto the technical room.
On the 1st floor, one can access a room that can serve as a cloakroom or waiting room. From there, one passes to a large 130 m2 space that can accommodate a workshop, a dance, yoga or photo studio or for the installation of a home-based professional activity. An apartment could also easily be created here. There is also a large terrace on the street side (west) that is directly accessible. A second room (without windows) can be used as a storage room, office, etc.
One accesses the main living area by a staircase (with guest toilet at the top) that leads us to a large living / dining room with an open kitchen. From there, one accesses the terrace and the east-facing garden. A large bathroom with an Italian-style shower, bathtub and toilet forms the transition between the day area and the night area. Here, one has 3 large bedrooms, one of which has a small wrought-iron balcony.
By taking a second staircase from the living room, one accesses the 2nd floor that houses a 3.5-room apartment, ideal for accommodating friends or family during the holidays or for allowing a teenager to become independent. It consists of a small kitchen open to the living room with a dining area, a bedroom, an office or baby room and a shower / WC room. A large west-facing terrace completes this level.
Finally, one should note the particularly generous ceiling height and the bold architecture that is not without its charm.
